    Last updated: June 1, 2024

    Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the UK Academy of Mould Experts (UKAME) website, services, and training programs. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use our services.

    Account Registration

When you register for an account or apply for certification, you must provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We cannot be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from your failure to comply with this requirement.

    Training and Certificates

Our training programs and certification processes are subject to specific requirements, assessments, and fees as detailed on our website. Completion of training does not guarantee certification.

Certification is awarded based on successful completion of all required assessments and adherence to our professional standards. Certification may be revoked if a certificate holder fails to maintain these standards or engages in conduct that could bring UKAME into disrepute.

    Directory Listings

Inclusion in our professional directory is available to UKAME members and individuals who have completed UKAME training. We reserve the right to remove listings that no longer meet our criteria or contain inaccurate information.

Directory information is made available to the public to facilitate contact with trained mould remediation professionals. By being listed in our directory, you consent to having your professional information publicly displayed.

    Payment Terms

Fees for our services are as specified on our website. All fees are payable in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law or as specifically stated in our refund policy.

We reserve the right to change our fees at any time, with changes taking effect upon posting to the website or direct notification to you.

    Intellectual Property

All content, materials, and resources provided through our services are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works without our explicit permission.

Training materials provided to you remain our property and are licensed, not sold, to you for your personal, non-commercial use only.

    Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all representations, warranties, and guarantees relating to our services. We will not be liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of our services.

Our total liability to you for all losses, damages, and causes of action will not exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for accessing our services.

    Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless UKAME, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of our services.

    Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use our services will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

    Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the website. Your continued use of our services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms.

    Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
