Membership Terms & Conditions

UKAME offers two types of membership: Individual Membership and Corporate Membership. Both memberships are subject to the terms and conditions outlined in this document.

Individual Membership

• Membership is open to anyone working in or interested in the mould remediation industry.
• UKAME training is recommended but not required for membership.
• Members who have completed training are encouraged to keep their training certificate current via the refresher course (available at a discounted rate for members).

Corporate Membership

• Corporate membership is available to any company operating in the mould remediation industry.
• UKAME training for at least one company representative is recommended but not required.
• Trained representatives are encouraged to maintain their training certificate via the annual refresher course (50% discount for members).

• Individual Membership: £300 + VAT per year.
• Corporate Membership: £499 + VAT per year.
• Payment is arranged offline via bank transfer or invoice after enquiry submission.
• Monthly payment plans may be available upon request. Contact us for details.
• Membership is activated upon receipt of payment and confirmation.

All members receive:

• Priority or featured directory listing on the UKAME website
• One free 30-minute expert consultation call per month
• Permission to use the UKAME Member logo (subject to conditions in Section 5)
• Annual discounted refresher course included with renewal
• Access to updated course content aligned with latest laws, H&S guidance, and remediation standards

Corporate members also receive:

• Discounted training rates for team members and new recruits
• Featured company listing in the directory

Members are granted permission to display the UKAME Member logo on their website, business cards, and marketing materials, subject to the following conditions:

• Backlink Requirement: Your website must include a visible hyperlink to mouldexperts.org.uk.
• The logo must not be altered, modified, or used in a misleading manner.
• The logo may only be used whilst your membership is active and in good standing.
• Upon cancellation or expiry of membership, the logo must be removed from all materials within 7 days.
• Detailed logo usage guidelines will be provided upon membership activation.

• Members may request one 30-minute consultation call per calendar month.
• Requests must be made by email to info@mouldexperts.org.uk.
• Calls will be scheduled within 14 days of the request, subject to availability.
• Calls are for professional guidance, technical advice, and business support related to mould remediation.
• Unused calls do not carry over to subsequent months.

• All members receive a directory listing on the UKAME website.
• Individual members receive a listing as a trained professional.
• Corporate members receive an enhanced listing with company details.
• UKAME actively optimises the directory for search engine visibility.
• Disclaimer: Search rankings may vary by user location and search terms. UKAME cannot guarantee specific Google rankings but works continuously to maximise visibility.

• Membership renews annually on the anniversary of activation.
• UKAME will contact members 30 days prior to renewal with payment instructions.
• Discounted refresher course is included at no additional cost with renewal.
• Completion of the refresher course is required to maintain active membership status.
• Renewal is at the standard annual rate.

• Members may cancel their membership at any time by contacting info@mouldexperts.org.uk.
• Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current membership period (no early termination).
• Refunds are generally not provided for partial membership periods, except in exceptional circumstances at UKAME's discretion.
• Upon cancellation, members must remove the UKAME logo from all materials within 7 days.
• Directory listings will be removed upon cancellation or expiry.

UKAME reserves the right to terminate a membership if:

• The member's Tier 3 certificate expires and is not renewed.
• The member fails to complete the annual refresher course.
• Payment is not received by the renewal date.
• The member misuses the UKAME logo or breaches the logo usage policy.
• The member engages in conduct that brings UKAME into disrepute.

In such cases, UKAME will provide written notice, and the member will have 14 days to rectify the issue (where applicable).

UKAME is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. By submitting a membership enquiry, you consent to UKAME processing your personal information for the purposes of:

• Processing your membership application and payment
• Providing membership services (directory listing, expert calls, refresher courses)
• Communicating with you about your membership
• Sending relevant updates about UKAME services (you may opt out at any time)

UKAME reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Material changes will be communicated to members via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued membership after changes are implemented constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
