## About UKAME

UKAME (UK Academy of Mould Experts) is the UK's training and membership provider dedicated to raising standards in mould remediation, damp and mould awareness, and housing-sector compliance training. Awaab's Law & HHSRS training is delivered by Tristan Hemsley (25+ years in housing property services); mould remediation training is delivered by an IICRC certified trainer. UKAME is not a regulator or awarding body; it is a training and membership provider. UKAME Ltd is registered on the UK Register of Learning Providers, UKPRN 10101866.

## Why UKAME for Awaab's Law

UKAME runs a training programme purpose-built around the new Awaab's Law and HHSRS compliance regime. The Awaab's Law training is structured in three tiers (Awareness, Practitioner, Leadership) and is mapped directly to:

### Bespoke Staff Training Tracking Platforms
- UKAME builds councils, housing associations, contractors and companies a white-labelled training tracking platform of their own, so an employer can keep every member of staff's training up to date in one place
- One record per member of staff (name, work email, job role, department), the status of every course they are required to hold (completed, not started, expired), refresher/expiry dates, reporting by department, and CSV export
- Tracks everything from completions of the free Mould Awareness course through to mould remediation training and Awaab's Law training, and can include the employer's own in-house courses and training held from other providers

**Does Awaab's Law apply to private landlords?** Awaab's Law currently applies to social landlords. Private landlords remain subject to the Homes (Fitness for Human Habitation) Act 2018 and existing housing standards.

**Are UKAME training courses IICRC accredited?** Mould remediation training is delivered by an IICRC certified trainer. UKAME issues its own Certificate of Attendance (and an optional Certificate of Achievement on passing the end-of-course test). These are UKAME certificates, not awarding-body qualifications.

**How much does UKAME membership cost?** Individual membership is £300 + VAT per year; Corporate membership is £499 + VAT per year. Both are billed annually and include directory listing, verified digital credentials and the AI Standards Advisor.

**How long is the UKAME-trained badge valid?** The UKAME-trained badge is valid for 2 years from the date of training; when displayed it must link back to mouldexperts.org.uk.
